This trip is for the traveler with limited time. It takes you around Vietnam’s most popular sights in just 12 days. But we use our time well. Everything that every body talks about is in it and we save time by flying or traveling on the overnight train. Highlights include the wonders of Halong Bay, now listed as a world Heritage site, the capital city of Hanoi with its fascinating old Quarter, Hue, The Imperial city in the 18th and 19th centuries, the picturesque port tower of Hoian, a favorite with many travelers, and finishing at the vibrant Ho Chi Minh City.

Itinerary Hanoi – Halong Bay – Cat Ba Island – Hue – Hoi An – Sai Gon tour 12 days 11 nights:

Day 1: Arrival Hanoi

Meet at the airport and then transfer to the hotel by private car with guide. Free time. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2: Hanoi City tour

AM: 8.00 Visit Ngoc Son temple, coach trip along the Hanoi Old Quarters, pass by Dong Xuan market then continue to the Old Citadel Stop for visiting Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and Museum, One Pillar Pagoda. Continue to visit the Quan Thanh Temple and Tran Quoc Pagoda. Lunch.
PM: After lunch proceed to visit the Ethnology Museum, continue to visit the Literature Temple and Quoc Tu Giam. Overnight at the hotel in Hanoi.

Day 3: Hanoi – Halong Bay and Catba Island National park

AM: 7.30 depart to Halong Bay. Boarding on your private boat for a five-hour cruise around the secluded and majestic Halong bay. We have the chance to swim in the bay’s emerald waters and also visit one of its many splendid caves.
Arrive Catba Island. Check in hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 4: Catba Island – Hanoi

AM: Explore the township of Catba or visit the National Park
PM: Catch the locals ferry to Hai Phong. Pick up at Hai Phong boat station and transfer back to Hanoi. Arrive Hanoi. Dinner at the hotel restaurant. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 5: Hanoi – Hue

AM: Transfer from your hotel in Hanoi to the airport. Flight VN 245 to Hue (12.20 – 13.30). Pick up then transfer to your hotel in Hue. Bus trip to visit Hue City Visit Citadel and the Forbidden Purple City, the Imperial Museum Dinner in Hue with Hue specialty (Com Cung Dinh).

Day 6: Hue

Arriaval in Hue at 7.00 fro a transfer direcitly to our hotel. Cruise along the Perfume River to visit the ornate tomb of Emperor Minh Mang, stopping on the way to visit the ornate tomb of Emperor Minh Mang, stopping on the way to visit the Thien Mu Pagoda, considered by many as the unofficial symbol of Hue. From here we will cruise back to the eccentric Tu Duc’s tomb, and discover this Emperor’s opulent lifestyle. Free time at the Dong Ba market. Lunch and dinner at the local restaurant. Overnight at hotel in Hue.

Day 7: Hue – Hoian

AM: 8.00 transfer from hotel to the old trading town of Hoian. Along the way though we will first stop at Lang Co beach, Hai Van pass, Cham Museum, the famed China Beach and Marble Moutains. Arrivaling in Hoian, check in and free time for exploring and shopping. Overnight at hotel in Hoian.

Day 8: Hoian

Full day visit Hoian: Phuc Kien Pagoda, Hoian Museum, Japanese Covered Bridge, TayKy Old house, Assembly Hall of Cantonese Chinese Congregation, Hoian Market. Overnight at hotel.

Day 9: Hoian – Danang – Ho Chi Minh City

Transfer to the airport the flight VN 321 (8.00 – 9.10) to Ho Chi Minh city, where we will be transferred directly to our centrally located hotel. Following the lunch, take the city tour will include a visit to Cholon, Saigon’s Chinatown and home to Vietnams biggest market, the Reunification Palace and the War Crimes museum.

Day 10: Cu Chi Tunnels and Cao Dai Temple

In the morning we have an excursion to the famous Cu Chi Tunnels (the tunnel system stretched from Saigon to the Cambodian border about 200km).
From Cu Chi we drive to Tay Ninh, the headquarters of the Cao Dai Sect, whose patron saints include Joan of Arc, Victor Hugo and Winston Churchill. Back to Saigon. Have dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 11: My Tho – Mekong Delta

Drive southward to Mekong delta. Boat trip in My Tho through tiny canals and quiet villages. Lunch in nice restaurant inside garden. Afternoon transfer back Saigon with stop over in Vinh Trang pagoda for visiting. Dinner and overnight in Saigon.

Day 12: Depart Ho Chi Minh

Free time until being transfer from the hotel to the airport for your flight out of Vietnam. Tour ends.
